Creative Process

Step 1:

Select a U.S. location or NOAA chart.

For example choose a location: Seattle, Puget Sound, Chesapeake Bay, Hawaiian Islands. Alaska, or the Great Lakes. If the location you select is covered by several charts we will work with you to select the chart that fits the photos.

Or identify the chart by a NOAA chart number (NOAA Chart 12263 - Chesapeake Bay).

Step 2:

Send us 2-4 photos or select 2-4 photos from our website.

The photos may be provided as high resolution
digital images (JPEG, TIFF, or RAW format), 35mm negatives, or prints. For 35mm negatives or prints, we scan the image to produce a digital file.

Step 3:

We'll capture these photo memories to
create your custom art.

Two to four photos can be blended over a nautical chart to create your custom art. For prints, the final image is printed on heavy weight matte paper (similar in look and feel to a nautical chart). The final image may be printed on specialty art papers or canvas. The prices listed are based on using heavy weight matte paper.

Step 4:

Additional products may be purchased.

The final image may be purchased as a high
resolution JPEG file.

After the purchase of a print or JPEG file,
additional products that use the image may be
purchased. For example, we offer Note Cards, Mugs, Calendars, T-Shirts, Puzzles, and Mouse Pads.
